XR6 wmv-16 Carbs and Modding
I am modding my 2000 year model xr6 engines a little bit. I Rebuilt both power heads with new wiseco pistons and put boyesen reeds and bobs high perf tuner in both engines. I have wmv-16 carbs now and i was wondering if they had the big venturi and i could just rejet and if so what would be the best combination of jets, or if they had the small venturi. The 200 carbs for my year model are wmv-18 and if the 16's dont have the big venturi how should i jet the 18's and will they bolt right up? If anyone know the best setup please let me know. Thanks. Also whats your input on shaving heads.

First you can cut the heads to around 32 CC that'll give you 140-150 psi compression and still run pump premium. I'd go up one-two jet sizes on the mains and leave the idles alone regardless of which carb you run.Not sure about the venturi size one the carbs but an XR-6 is basically a detuned 200.
