Pound for Pound Funist
Just wondering what the consensus would be as far as what is the most exciting, fun to drive boat, I can say this, every time I strap on my 21' Superboat and hang that boat at 90+ I have a s it eaten grin on my face.

Well,
Pound for pound, I'd lean towards a viper/vector for sheer in-your-face drivers boat value based on my experience only mind you. One of the most memorable experiences I have over my years of boating would have to be my brothers 27' fountain Fever. It was a 97 model, single step, and rigged with all the goodies...latham external steering, hydraulic bolsters, mechanical trim and tab indicators etc etc. Power was a Merc hp500 (carbed blue motor) with an M-1 procharger/M-2 intercooler. With a labbed 28 bravo it ran an honest 87-89 mph right around 5300-5400. Even being a bigger boat than what some of us around here are accustomed to, it felt pretty light at speed. This was both our first exerience with a semi-fast pad V-bottom and is more or less the hull that taught us both to drive a pad boat. Only thing that really jacked me up was the left hand throttles. I'm left handed and you'd think it would be second nature for me....not so much. And that gentlemen, is my rookie .02.

Champboat
Nothing like 350hp on a 1000 pound complete rig... I don't always keep it right side up but it is the most fun thing i have ever done with my clothes on.... Nothing like going to the corner with 12-15 other boats strung out on the limiter. bumping the down button and cranking the wheel, then repeat that process about 100 more times while trying to hang on to it, lap boats, make passes, watch the water, watch the wind and think about setting up a move five laps in advance... There have been very few times that i haven't had a smile on my face win or lose

Hmmm, well since you said pound for pound, I would have to put my E class days in that list. I raced N.O.A. so my 13' Critchfield weighed 190 pounds and had a ported 75 stinger on it with no reverse and a nose cone. Never had a speedometer in it but it turned a 23 DAH cleaver 7500 rpm. When the boat was set up just right it would "crab" just a little in choppy water and hang the nose in the air. What fun that was!
