The only reason I came back to clamp-on is the 300 XS , ran old school outboards and they are the reason I went to I.O power

youll get nothing and like it
dont rain on this guys parade , did anybody do up a 32 with a 300xs and compared it to a 300x 32 ?
maybe it will be the same speed (i think the 21 liberator had this happen)
or maybe it will be 2 miles an hour slower , 2mph for good gas milage and a warranty is worth it to a lot of people

i think we all like performance , but on a 32 we dont even know if the x is any faster than the xs. and if it is only 2 miles an hour slower , the good might outweigh the bad (or 5 mph difference for that matter)
the 28 skaters seem to be faster with the 300x's over the 280's so why did you go with the 280's mr "im all about performance"

If the boat only did 85 I wouldn't be complaning. You can always up the power as money permits. The ability to handle rough water would be a fair trade off to me. Any the 300xs' will give you great fuel economy. Hang in there and keep postin. Bob
