oh , too risky for me

did you get a quote ? or are you just guessing ?

im thinking a 32 might be insurable with 2 300's , due to its size and under 100 mph speed

i would get a quote if i were you , they know the 28's run well over 100 and they dont like that , plus many have flipped over the years

markel might give you a decent price for a 32 foot , 95 mph skater

cool , i wasnt trying to be pushy i just wanted to point out that in the insurance companies eyes , the 32 might be a whole lot different then the 28

plus i wanted to know for myself for future reference , i think a 32 with 2 big outboard is a cool set up , and it seems like over the past few years there have ben some 32's for low prices

insurance companies are wierd , i couldnt get ins for a 28 skater with 2 300x's but it was no problem to get insurance for a 23 cougar cat with 2 300x's , only $2400 a year to start , then they lowerd it the second year

skater had the speed for the 28 listed right on their website as 118 mph back then , it seems the insurance companies didnt like those numbers

plus a lot of 28's flipped , im guessing few 32 pleasure outboard skaters had flipped , plus you can claim it runs 95 mph and technically not be lying

plus im not against 4 strokes , maybe in a couple of years they will have a high hp supercharged 4stroke , maybe 2 of em will get the 32 to 110 mph

Good luck they are 700 lbs each , If you dont like a 300 XS , you need to get out of boating !

What is the problem with the Sportmaster ?? I'm out of the loop , been running XR on my race boat

I did hear of a few minor problems that mercury say the fixed on the new 300 XS

im affraid the 300 xs might have gearcase problems like the 300x engines but time will tell

why get out of boating over a 4 stroke ?

    i thought the 350 verado weighed 670 ?

    if a 28 can hold 2 480 lb motors why cant a 32 hold 2 670 lb'rs ?

I have simple logic , KISS , KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID , not directed at anyone here , just way buy a techno nightmare 4 stroke super charged when you can by th 300 XS ?

I have been boating for 25 years and raced with OPA for a few years , never trashed a gearcase , I truly think most cases of gearcase failure is driver error . IE , being not quick enough on the sticks

i was against 4 strokes at first , until i got my 4 stroke 250 hp jetski

it now has over 250 hours of the hardest kind of riding possible

constant long distance wot runs , jumping huge waves , on and off the throttle like your trying to break it

so far the motor is a beast and holding together like a mo fo

all this reliability from a 1.5 liter 250 hp motor

im waithing for a true supercharged performance 4 stroke outboard to come out

    I'm admitting I was wrong. The Skater I was decribing is a 32 not a 30.
    Happily Misunderstood....
