I am looking to build either the same rig or something similar. In the past few months there were three 32s' on oso for under 60k. One with blower motors, and two with trip 260s', one under 39k. the guy wanted 3500 extra for the trailer!LOL! I think you will be happy when finished. Keep us posted. Bob

I have seen those boats , for example the triple 260 for 39 k , what do you really have when you bring it home ? A beat up wreck that the motors will blow up in a few hours and your in over your head . That is why I searched for a long time for a deal without power .

I have rec a few PM's from members here about problems with hull bottom or rigging . Let me start off by stating this is not my first day @ the Rodeo and B-4 I took on this project I made several calls to Peter @ Skater to see if my Idea's were feasible on coverting this race / pleasure triple OB 2.4 litre to twin 300 opti and converting the rear I.O engine compartment to a rear cabin . And also since boat was V/E resin that fuel tanks were not an issue with alcohol in fuel as if it was G.P resin or epoxy the tanks would have to be lined .Peter agreed that all of the mods to boat will be OK .
One PM was about I have the wrong notch on bottom because my hull was a triple and the weight diiff from triple 2.4 to twin 300 was a factor and the notch should be 20 inches not 9 inches . My hull was built as triple and the rear notch is 23.5 , and for the record a 2.4 is something like 350 lbs x 3 = 1050 lbs , well a 300 opti is 505 lbs x 2 = 1010.
Also it was said that I have the jack plate in tunnel too much and should not have more than 3.5 inch tunnel , for the record as rigged and If I was swinging a 15 inch prop the tip would only be 1 3/4 in tunnel , maybe it was the angle of photo taken that they made that judgement.
Thank you for the questions , I truly do welcome and ideas and thoughts .

Just curious as to where you're getting the 300XS's and who's doing the rigging? Yourself?
Reason I ask is I'd like to hang some new motors on my Spectre, but I don't know of anyone in MN that works on bigger "cats".
Good luck.

I do all my own work , Glass work , paint and mech , I own a auto resto shop . I have rigged several offshore I.O race boats in the past and this is a cake walk to the work involved with inboard boat , lets face it , 4 bolts , plug it in and go for a boat ride !!!!! Maybe a few more details .

There are many places in MN that will work on your boat. When you get serious about rigging the boat let me know and I can point you in the right direction. I lived up there for most of my life and still have many friends that live up there that are into the big boats.
