Now your talking Thsi boat ran awesome withthe trips, always flew level and would run 105-108 all day long. Thats with early 90s prop technology too.

The reason I ask is on the Skater site they say the boat will run 101 with 300 , But have been told it will only run 98 , that is going slow for a Skater . I can build a pair of 540 CI 750 HP cheap and it would run 130

    My Opinion

brt you and i are alike in the fact that we don't have alot of money so we do everything we can ourselves... Your project looks great so far but i do not think you will be happy with just the twins... I think the boat may run 101-103 in perfect conditions for speed ie cold weather, lite on fuel etc.. So i think the boat will be 95mph most of the time, that would not be fast enough for me so i would figure out a way to do trips because i am not an inboard person...

    my 2 cents

When we looked at buying it back we were going to convert it into a sbc boat. They need trips to really be a rocketship again if your going to eggbeater route. Call my dad 518-644-3080 ask for Jason. He knows this boat better than anyone.

    if it ran 108 with 780 hp , what will it run with 915 hp ? 260x 3 = 780 , 305 x 3 = 915

I will have to settle for 95 - 100 for now , in way to deep to turn back now . When the boat is together it will be easier to unload if it painted and has new power , this way it will offset the cost of a 36 or 40

I think in todays market you have picked one of the most marketable hulls out there. 32, Skater! The name and race heritage says it all. I live on a 54k lake. I bought a 280 Velocity with twin 280s'. Never use the cuddy. The boat runs 90 but is a drivers boat. Your 32' sold 100 mph all day everyday. It will cruise sipping the fuel! I think my boat is sold. Then I am going to follow your lead! B
