    86 OMCgear case to 03 225 HO E Rude

    Looking at a 200 gt LU with Low Pickups and bullet nose. I have a 2003 225 HO. Wanting to see if they will conincide with each other. Will they match up if i just bolt on. If anyone know what mods let me know. thanks

    would it be possible to change the shafts to match the case? If so how difficult?

    It would be cheaper and a much better deal for you to put a nose cone on your familiar 6 year old motor instead of trying to jury rig a 23 year old unkown gearcase to work.

    Price out a 2 piece driveshaft, the bearings and shims that should be replaced while its apart, plus a new shift shaft. Once that old gearcase is opened up, there may be more parts needed. Add the labor and the seals needed to do the repair and you may be surprised at the cost compared to a new nose cone.
