Full warranty with an E-Tec even in a racing environment. BRP just keep on stepping up. Their backup is incredible as well.

Even adding a LWPU doesn't void the warranty. Gotta love it!

At the Toronto boat show back last winter, the BRP reps told me that adding a lower water pick up would void the warranty. The Merc and Yamaha guys said the same thing.

12-08-2008, 04:31 PM #22Just an FYI update for this class:
This class is new to ECDBA, and the rules may be changed several times before the season starts. We are receiving considerably more interest in this class than we expected. Weights and boats types are subject to change. What will not change is:
STOCK, GREEN MOTORS
LWPU IS THE ONLY MODIFICATION ALLOWED

The 2008 USA warranty statement does void warranty if raced or modified in any way. BRP however is wanting to help and seems to be looking the other way. Outside the us things may be different.

Just curious as to what rpm do these 250-300's and the smaller ones like 175 and 200 turn and what speeds do you guys that are considering doing this feel you will see in the 1/4 mile? What pitch prop do yall think would work out best too?
Just curious because it seems like a great idea but just wonder how these motors can perform. Thanks ECDBA for this step in the right direction.Rob Lankford

All of the motors turn about 6200-6250 tops. So, with th right lower and prop, I'm hoping we are going to see about 90 mph boats. An E-Tec or an XS with a 1.7x or 1.62 lower is probably the way to go. It would be nice to see someone bring out a Yamaha 3.3.
Rob, what are you putting on your new boat?

We are going to see, I will be racing one of our Hydro Stream Venoms, it will be powered by a 175 pro x s ,it is a new class, and we will see if displacement will will over come the less weight over the transom, it will be interesting to see, we will also, be bringing a Venom with a 300 x s on, I hope every one will come out to see which one wins, not just between us, but there will be other boats, and motor combination, also, and overall outboard racing will be the winner
