    gel coat?

    want to re gel coat my rear race ferring on my hst custom. the ferring is white and want to do it yellow to match the boat. what are the proper procedures for doing this and the best way to apply the yellow gelcoat? thanks

    most of the time we would dewax sand with 220, mix the gel 50/50 with high gloss additive ,for each pint we add about 3 caps of m.e.k , set the gun up for a light coat ,kick it at 2% and do lots of coats let dry for a day cut and buff, in a short version thats how we do it

    oh yeah yellow doesn`t cover well so its going to be ,i`m guessing ,6-7 coats for good color.good luck
