Hard starting help
Hi All,
I have a 1998 SeaRayder with 175 merc power head that was replaced brand new in 2003. My problem is that I can start this thing on the trailer(*with water runnund of course) in about 5 seconds. The minute its in the water it may not fire for 20 minutes. Its had recent tune up,fresh 89 octane fuel and new 900 amp battery. Once running it will restart all day long and it runs perfect. My lasr question is does antobe have an estimate on fuel usage for this model. Thanks for any imput.

Thanks for the reply. Replaced the switch, took it out this afternoon and she fired up in 1 crank. I assume that may has been acting up.
