Even bending the max pitch available won't get you over 50 mph. Look at your current pitch, max motor rpm and gear ratio; find a speed/prop pitch calculation and put in your data with about 20% slip. The motor is going to max out and not just rev forever ... don't get it in your head that you can just call up 10,000 rpm because you want it. Realistic max rpm might be 6,000 or so.

I hope you've already learned that props can only be altered about 2 inches of pitch from their produced base pitch. Some props are already stretched to be finished at the additional 2 and won't go any farther. There are 2 ways to overcome this ... finding a prop shop that can cut the blades off and competently reweld them on at a steeper angle or finding a prop with the desired pitch and some how adapting it to your shaft.

    (2) Possibly around 50 mph with the altered prop you will hit the "hp available vs hp needed for load" intersection. These are a pair of exponential curves that come at each other very quickly at the end. The next problem comes from how much motor the boat will float vs how much power is needed to go faster.

    (3) Stability. The boat is not going to be stable at your goal speeds. You might see the goal speed just as it spits you out.
what you stated I already know and understand.
I have some ideas to try... we'll learn what works for this motor and what doesnt together!

    But thanks!

Didn't read all of the posts but, you can find race props for this motor. I bet Ron Hill could find one or rework a Sport C prop. Also, this is the type of motor (with tons of mods) that set a kilo record in Mod C class at close to 90 mph. Don't know if you can get 60 mph but I guess you never know untill you try. With helmet and life jacket!

yea its on its way... I think she'll be named "Manatee Killer" or something along that line. And have a sticker or a big manatee with a prop in its back.

I believe the inspiration for who ever built the Fl skiff was a fliver... almost same hull design just twice the size
