    evinrude started in 1917

    was looking at antique boat motors and read that Evinrude started in 1917 and made camping stoves...yes same evinrude..

    was the first outboards 2cycle or four if four when did 2cycle hit the market???

    I could be wrong, but the first outboard motor was an air-cooled 2 cycle running on motor oil-gas mix.
