outboard to v8 jet or inboard outboard.
i plan on turning my 1969 sportline premier boat into a jet boat or an inboard outboard with a chevy 350. what would i need to get and how hard would it be to convert it to either i/o or jet boat?

You need a 26-28" transom for an I/O. pluss the jig to cut the hole out. But in eather case you will need to install stringers to bolt the motor to. A jet, cut a hole in the bottom and a bigger hole in the transom. You could go surface drive as well. In any even it going to be a lot of work, and you will loose money on the venture. Sell it and buy the I/O or the Jet boat without a motor or a bad motor.

yea, modification of anything (cars come to mind) is almost always more expensive than just buying what you want in the first place.
