Changing out the pump and exhaust re-configuration. The new pump is a American Turbin SD-312 designed for large boats in excess of 3000 lbs. The outlet is one inch larger than the stock JE pump and a comlete matched pump intake not utilizing the hull as part of the pump inlet. The SD-312 will be completely tricked out with hi-performance intake, loader, inducer, shoe, ride plate and SS impeller. = more thrust for better acceleration and top speed.
The exhaust will be changed over to dry exhaust, water jacketed Zoomies coming out of the top of the transom parallel with the transom, four pipes on each side of the engine. I will be taking the boat up to Tim Murphy, owner of "The Fab Shop" in Indiana to do the custom exhaust. I am dreading that drive!

Some pix of new pump upgrade.

New pump intake installed, faired in and painted. The hard part is done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The paint is gloss black on the bottom but the flash makes it look grey.

The pump is installed and the engine back in ready for test run. The hatch will not go back on with the current exhaust system due to the engine being raised 1 3/4" to align with the new pump. The hatch will be re-installed after the new exhaust is made sometime in March.
