300 XS-Trim Pump Inside the Boat
Hello,
I am going for a 300 XS, it had 14 hours on it, the seller says it was a spare engine for a Round Brittain Race Boat with 2*300 Xs. Anyway this Engine hav not been used in the race.
The seller says I have to install the trim pump inside the boat. (everything is includedin the deal) Before this 300 I had a 200 Xs and the pump was on the outside of the boat.
What is the difference to have the pump inside vs outside and is it easy to install? (maybe similar the pump to the Jack Plate)
Thank´s for you answer.
Patrik from Sweden.

Patrik, I think the 300XS you are looking at has an offshore mid. The standard mid has the single ram trim with the pump mounted between the brackets. The offshore mid has the dual ram trim with the pump mounted inside the boat. I believe the pump is similar to the jack plate pump.

std mids are 3 ram integrated... Offshore is a simgle ram and trim pump in boat.. your 200 had integrated trim on the standard mid.
