Evinrude mechanic Milwukee area?

Who is good with Evinrudes in the Milwaukee, WI area?

A friend of mine needs somebody to straighten out the idle and timing on his '84ish 140 VRO.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If your looking for a shop to do the work the guys up at cedar lake sales in west bend have always been helpful to me. I've never brought the boat there for them to work on but they have always been respectful to me and answered all my questions about trouble shooting my own problems. I'm pretty sure they do evinrudes.

Cedar lake sales blows. Try laker, he is the V4 expert and is in the falls.

I was going to recommend Chris but I didn't know how busy he was. Whats wrong with cedar lake and who would you reccomend for buying parts?

CLS is ok for parts as a LAST resort. Took a gearcase in with a nosecone and the stupid mechanic thought it was junk because it was not stock. Don't think he knew what it was. Buy parts on the internet or from someone on this board, If you go to CLS for parts, do your research in advance and have part numbers. They do not know how to cross reference.

give Wintech engine and machine in Big Bend a shout ask 4 Nick or Tom they are great people and they race boats ,very good mechanics i send all my friends there and they built my 260 .there # is 262 662-0892

yeah thats him , he is just busy at the shop and takin care of family.He's been workin on his boat we went too Litchfield a couple weeks back and we ran at New Athens he took 3rd cause his trim selenoid didnt work i took 2nd cause of to worried to red light and i did .

o well next time . But other then that he's doin great!
