    Another boat crash

Spotted this today on the Red River in Winnipeg. Nasty. (See my next post for the possible culprit).

    the culprit?

Also in Winnipeg at the Marina where I launch my boat. Two were hurt. I told that the boat they hit was drifting loose. However, I'm not entirely certain that the boat they hit was the Four Winns. Seems likely though.

ps:I think the Four Winns would have been the boat under power, no?

Here's a close up. The pink could be a foam core, but looks like the colour of the glass.

    Another collision at sea.

Unless you are tied to the dock, at anchor, or aground, you are underway. Yet another infuriating and sad example of operator(s) not paying attention, knowing what the rules of the road are and understanding them, or both.

    a few more photos

Here are two more photos of the Four Winns and one of the SunDancer. I don't understand why the Four Winns does not have marks left by the dark paint from the bottom of the Sundancer.

A vessel with no crew on it would be considered abandoned or derelict. The owner will still have some responsibility in the incident.
