27SRX vs. 29SRX.....different rake?

I run a DAH 27 SRX on my Vegas, but I tried a stock 29 SRX a while ago. The thing didn't have any lift at all, and didn't run any faster than the 27. My prop guy said that they 29 SRX's have desisgned for lighter boat like tunnels....they use the airpressure for most of their lift....not the prop.

Has anyone measured out one of the 29 SRX's? Do they have a different blade profile and rake than the 27's?

if you have a worked dah prop.. it won't run just like a stock 27....

i have also had 3 of the same props!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all ran a little different.....

that is why you see these race guys with several of the drag props in the same pitch...
one might be quicker out of the hole, and the other better top end!!!!!!

i have also seen worked props be way off on pitch too!!!!!!! i have a 22 that runs like a 24... and a 23 that runs like a 20....

you can't compare a worked prop to a stock out of the box prop!!!

there was a thread on here a long while ago that i remember some one saying that the 27 have more "lift" than the 29. i think its kinda like you said a 29 at 6000rpm is reaching speeds were you probly dont need alot of lift.

Kinda funny this popped up. I have a 27 and 29 SRX both by DAH. I have been running the 27 all summer, but recently tried the 29. No faster and it kept blowing out because I trimmed too high to get the bow to come up. Something must be different.

I have both 27 and 29 and both were worked by DAH ,the 29 was worked for my boat motor combo and was a easy 8 mph faster than the 27 and would nearly pull the studs out of the seats it pulled so hard and not to mention would run the bow at any angle you trimmed it to. Might give them a call and have them set it up for your package

ive never run a 27srx but my 29 2in above the bottom will carry my bow after 4k with next to no trim, although ill say my friends 30 chopper has a lot more lift its just the last thing i need wit the air entrapment bow on my boat.

So who can i send my 29 SRX to have a hub put in (omc) the actual stainless hub of the prop has been cut down flush with the blades (front of the hub) I think it may need some sort of custom hub of thrust washer i have never seen this before. My local prop shop cant even put the hub in straight with out ****ing it up so i have had to burn out two brand new hubs already
