    Question advantage jet

I have a 1987 adv. jet boat with open bow. I would like to get this boat to around 80+ mph. I have a 454 that has been bore to 468 and want to put a blower, alum heads, etc. Any good ideas on combos, or is this even possible??

wow that's alot of power just for 80!!!

It is possible to do 80 with around 5-600hp, and spend the extra money on updating your hull. With a newer hull, 800hp should see about 110mph.

I do not want to change hulls. I love this boat, I just want to do at least 80 mph. With the 468 plus alum heads and a good blower, crank pistons, etc, you do not think it will do it. i know the hull can handle way over 110mph, I called adv boats on that. I just want to know what the best ammo to do this with, blower manufacture, heads, crank, pistons, etc.,etc. thanks for everyones help. I def. will be visiting this site daily!!!!

ARS marine knows what ya need.
    I have a killer combo 4 jets.478-718-1997
I dont like blowers takes power to turn them and they are heavy.
go ahead and stroke that 468 to 496 and get those heads(DART PRO1)
call me on the cam and other info,I bet my combo will save ya some bucks and will push that boat 80+ then ya can put a small shot on it if ya want.
thats what I do (blower in a blue bottle).my tx-20 runs 102 with out the gas.

RLP, thanks for the advice. I def would like to get more info on some of the combos. Do you think with the right set up I can push 80 with the 468?? Cam, heads, intake etc.
