left lower unit question???

will a left rotation lower unit work on a right handed motor for a 1993 2.5L mercury 200? i found a 1999 lower unit with a left handed rotation will this work and what do i have to do to make it work if it will>? also will this lower bolt up to my older engine>?? and what rotatio prop will it need if it will work on my engine>>>>?

my understanding is that you can run it right handed...But...........
You CAN NOT run a right hand left

I know that the front bearing and prop shaft is the big differnce.........

yes it will bolt up and depending on which way you run it will depend on what prop...
