I started to work part time at Action in 1972. We built the 16' Banshee carry over and 3 Checkmate clones. A 13', one of which I ran for a couple of years in EP,a 15' and a 15 1/2'. A couple of years later my real job made working part time impossible so I took a break. It was during that time Action started making the HydroStream based boats. Action Marines versions of these boats were almost always faster than the original due to improvements Barney made to them.

Action Marine was also where the molds for the "Paramont" boats originated. We built those molds from a larger higher freeboard boat which was never produced in any numbers and we cut it down. One of the employees at the shop decided to go out on his own and he purchased the molds. We must have done a pretty good job on those molds because every "Paramont" ever built came out of them.

Mine doesn't look quite like it did when I posted pic back in 2013 after the original Evinrude 125 gave up.
hang a 2011 Mercury 150 Optimax, oil injection, converted over to hydraulic steering, new stereo and speakers, Mercury Smartcraft monitor, new gauges, control lever and I forget what else.
Playing around with 4 Blade SS props now.
Whole lot of motor hanging off that little boat.

My 16 Super Sidewinder had a pair of front buckets, and a rear bench. My low pro had back to back seats, with just a panel at the back. I can't get the pics attached using my tablet
