My 20.8......
I have Jefff Camires Sebring. The one that was on his business card.
I recently bought a 2750 with an Ilmor 710 in it, but couldnt bear to part with my Sebring.
everybody needs 2 boats right?
My 406 Sebring has a medium hot 406 and runs mid-high 80's (seen 90's when the engine was fresh a decade ago still runs mid 80's)
I made a few "special modifications myself
ITS integrated transom steering - couldnt mount externals.
NEW BRavo1XR
New Livorsi dash
New Interior with new LaveyCraft LCP logo
Custom white strip across "windscreen" so I stop burning my skin.
406 SB chevy Brodix track 1 with aeroquip oil cooler.
Demon 850 Carb with Red inserts
IMCO powerflow w SS risers
You wouldnt know it isnt brand new it looks so good.
HUGE fun to drive especially w steering now.
Heres a pict of my new lavey as well.

Some more cool details about my Sebring
Metal laser cut Laveycraft Logo/ doubles as blower vent
Was tested in Powerboat Magazine by Bob Nordskog (have a picture of him in my boat)
Was in Hot boats Yearly Calendar in 1993 as the boat of September 93
Here's a vid of me teaching my GF how to use the radar plotter on the way back from catalina in the 2750.

Thanks Dave, Your boat (Jeff's) was at their shop when ours was being built. I have old video of the shp I'll try to post. I think it had a blown 350 at the time.
Thanks for the info on the mods to yours. I'm thinking of rebuilding my engine to about 550HP this winter and was wondering about steering. Do you know how much HP you're making? That would give me an idea of what to expect. Do you have more info on your steering system?
Thanks

Yes- the boat had a Merc 350 with a B&M 250 on it. I chased that combo around for years until I just yanked it and replaced it with the 406 which made more power and has run for about a decade with only oil changes, a tune up, and an infrequent lash adjustment.
Im making about 500 with about 500 lb/ft and thats enough to overwhelm the stock steering starting at about 80 MPH I also wore out 2 gimbals form the stress on teh drive. I would go straight at 80-90 but wouldnt turn and if the steering would fail.....not pretty.
The swimsteps basically block the addition of regular aftermarket steering rams that imco and latham make turning external steering into a step hack job, or a VERY expensive proposition.
The ITS was frightfully expensive and required a new XR- there may be a way to retrofit a bravo, but The brothers didnt want to go that way.
HEres a pict and a link to the mechanism its super clean and sanitary but Brutally expensive - I personally couldnt have sold the boat without this as I feared someone woudl get hurt.

After the third rebuild in 5 years- the consensus was that the b&M 250 blowers design ( straight paddles not helix curved + too much RPM) led to too much heat in areas like parker AZ to quell detonation on 92-3
