    Prop selection

I have a 20 foot fish and ski by Fisher Boats. It is a fiberglass boat and I want it to get out of the hole quicker for skiing. Right now I have a Trophy 4 blade 24p on it. Trimed out I get 5500 to 5700 PRM and close to 60 MPH. Any help would be great on a make and blade count.

If you don't mind changing props, you could drop down to a 20" high five for skiing.

I agree with David. Sounds like the rig is a bit heavy. The high five at 20" would overrev a bit with a light load, but it will be a neck snapper for a hole shot. It also has a good bite at speed, which might come into play if your skiier is heavy and active. Another plus is lightening up the load on the engine a bit at half throttle skiing speeds, and maybe saving quite a bit of wear and tear on the pistons. It's an all-around smooth hard pulling work prop for sure.

I have a 150 horse, 18 foot fish n sky type boat. I have a prop for fishing, and one for family and skiing. Both are high fives.

    hope it helps
    John
To fish or not to fish? What a STUPID question.
