try too find a bigger motor, 40mph gets boring fast, even in a little sketchy boat...

slow
my boat floats fine, i could add another 100lbs to the transom,40mph will get old way before you burn a tank of fuel. I spent 4-5 months rebuilding my boat and could not wait to take it for a spin "with the 35hp" i went across the lake once "small lake". played with the trim couldnt get it past 35mph so i parked it and took out my jetski instead, "very disappointed". so it sat until i found a 50hp engine, took it out twice so far, runs about 40mph. that got boring after about two laps, so i started jumping wakeboard boat wakes......that was pretty damn fun, and i do understand a properly setup smaller engine/prop combo will give you plenty speed, but whether you are a speed freak or not 40 gets boring in a small boat. my boat should have more speed in it after i jack the motor up about 5 inches, if it wont run over 50-55 with a 50hp with the right prop and hieght, I will be searching for a larger one. so dont make my mistake, and find a larger engine!!!!!!! plus, its alot of fun when you can accelerate hard to your top mph goal.
