    kissimee river speed limit

    does anyone know if there is a posted speed limit, or state rule/law in the river ranch area and avon park. if there is anything please send me the link. thanks in advance!

    River is closed to navigation at Avon Park. As far as posted speed limit, there is none that I am aware of. If I find anything this weekend I'll post you some links.

    Nope no speed limits over there. Now what they DO inforce is running side by side without proper notification or in a dangerous/competive manner--I have the Fla State statue concerning this rule--We ran at last years River Ranch deal way over 100mph. alone while both the GFC guys--our buddies--and the &$$ H@!#$ from Oceolia sherrfis dept watched. Never said a thing--until two of the fast cat guys made a pass together---tickets soon followed! In the river behind the ranch, you wouldn't have a problem it's Polk County!

    I agree... because all of polk countys ass hole law enforcement officers are concentrated in the lakeland area!
