trim stop where to buy how to make
any of you guys know where to buy or how to make a "trim stop" for a 20" 3 ram (trim in middle of the clamp)? Need to stop the up trim just a little from completely trimmed out for drag racing and don't really want to use a timer. Any ideas or suggestions much appreciated

I don’t know that there is any way to stop the up trim… well other then taking your finger off the up trim button hehehe
However some guys install a morris cable and micro switch and then when the micro (limit) switch is tripped it goes back to 12-volts…

Look on Byuboyz. T-Rex made a stop that looked pretty easy to do. If I can find a pic of it I'll post it.

I made a bracket that goes on my stainless marine indicator with a "microswitch". The trim on the stalk routes through that, and I have a seperate "tilt" switch that has no shutoff next to my shifter, for the beach, trailering, etc.

I think Rube Goldberg would be proud of mine. The limit switch on the single ram clamp is a POS, stops anyplace it wants. I adapted this from an early 2 ram V-6 clamp, cost nothing, and is very precise. The cable coming out of the top clamps to the steering tube (removed in this photo)
