The user at this linked site used to be a regular participant on a 6.5 site and knows more about diesels than I know about anything. He's a damn good guy. I think his son bought a jeep diesel and it represents a new, exciting challenge.

Marcus, it is averaging 9.8 liters per 100km/h, in my 2006 I averaged 14.8 per 100km, over the same driving. My only issue is it revs 400 rpm MORE than the 4.7 I had at the same speed.
It needs a 7th gear.

I've been really interested in the new Benz/Chrysler diesels with great low rpm power and the mileage... If the Diesel prices continue to rise, the increased mileage won't mean anything positive other than fewer stops at the pump... The 3.0L vehicle is larger than I need except for rare occasion when I pull a 35 hp 4x4 tractor, but the smaller Liberty diesel would be very fitting for daily driving and pulling My 2200 lbs boat rig...
