max RPM of 2006 250xs 25 inch shaft

I saw on merc racings website that it's 5800, but I've heard some people say there getting 6400-6500. The lower is a 1:75.1 torquemaster just FYI. Which is the right RPM? And if possible, is it ok to twist it up to 6400, or leave it at 5,800?

    Can't over rev it

Has an RPM limiter . you can't over rev it. Just get it a little out of the power curve.

The 25" 250 xs is 5800 rpm. The limiter is set @ 5850.
