    Latham steering.

Hey guys, can anyone tell me what's up with Latham's steering systems'? Why am I being told that I need to get Hynautic's helm and reservoir for single engine application' when I've seen their Capilano single side ram system on a single engine application before. Can anyone virify that they have this system on a single engine application and it works great?
    Thanks Jonny

    Thumbs up Call Latham...

Ask for Bbbbob Latham, or Ted Chance. Get it straight from the horses mouth. They don't mind the questions...Nice people.

Could have to do with the application. At high speeds with a big engine on a small boat, the steering has to be very tight, and very secure, else you enter the water after taking out the gunwale with yer arse.

    hope it helps

Thanks for the imput guys. AirRide, I spoke with Ted, he told me to get the Hynautic helm and reservoir. If it's the best way to go then fine I'll go, but I'd prefer Latham's BEEFER helm, if I can. Hope to hear from anyone who is using this system.
    Thanks again Jonny.

I used the H-100 series helm on my last stv with the latham side mount ram. no external reservoir either. no problems worked real good. much easier to steer than the capilano.

    here are some helms
