mercury 210 sportjet engine blown
I have a mercury 210hp m2 sportjet that has blown a rod, powerhead is no good, will any 2.5l block work using my crank? or will any of the other sportjet motors work for me, I see a optimax that was out of sportjet boat for sale, but do not know if it will bolt up to my pump.

To the best of my knowledge any 2.5 block would work by using your crank as long as you stay in the same series as far as upper bearing size is concerned. I came very close to puttin' a 260 powerhead in my 175 Sportjet a couple of years ago, but changed my mind at the last minute and replaced a piston in the original one instead.
