Skiroule Sno Pro
Well I might be wasting my time here cause it being quite old but. Here are facts from the past. I was lucky to have met and worked for Fern Cote Racing. Fern was a friend of Gilles Villeneuve. When Skiroule closed the doors Gilles had called Fern and said come down right away to pick up "stuff" and what to look for. This is the what was purchased from the liquidator and later at the auction.
Jaques 250 Skiroule sno pro and Gilles 340 and 440 sno pro. Gilles had told Fern that these were the best in the fleet. There 7 chassis built, 3 for Gilles and 3 for Jaques and 1 spare chassis just in case. I am pretty sure a team up hwy 11 north of Huntsville Ont called Bauhaus Docks purchased the remaining 3 sleds and the 1 left was lost in a trailer fire. They are incredible machines!!! I could straddle the 250 and pick it off the ground, yet never had a part fail during a race.
Fern also got the dyno from Skiroule amongst parts and tools from the auction.
After 2 more years Fern closed the race shop and I rebuilt the front suspension of the 250 and was sold to Larry Skelton Trucking north of Toronto. The 340 and 440 were sold in Bancroft to a racer and were cannibalized.
I hope this helps with the history.

I heard Fred talking about it when they were going up against Rotax for major oem production. He said something to the effect that you could set a glass of water on it at 7500 rpm. If they had picked up that bid, it would have made them "happy ever after money" and the product was superior.
