No doubt, my new one is lighter and has more power, its going to be a blast! My other one is definitely 15'7", I've ended up measuring several different times throughout the resto. I'm hoping to have have my original Invader finished at the end of May. Now I just have to choose which one I want to take out for the 4th of July weekend, ahhh, what a great dilemma!

Well, it has been several years but I am going to slowly re-start this project. I got the motor out of storage this weekend. Back when I started this restoration I rebuilt the carbs, fuel pumps, installed a flywheel that wasn't cracked, put in new solid mounts, sourced a 15" mid and ditched the original 20". The lower unit is original, the drive shaft was cut down and re-splined to accommodate the short mid. I replaced the plugs and the coil wire along with several other wires that have cracked over the years. The boat still needs a fair bit of work but most of the structural fiberglass work is complete. I plan to get the boat out of storage in the next month or so. I know there are some folks on here that really like these old Invaders. I'll keep updating as things progress (slowly).

Boat is out of storage and back at the house. Epoxy and filler is in the mail. I added the power trim rams to the motor, they are in better condition than I remembered. I removed the old hoses, 4 new ones should be coming in the mail today. Just got the jack plate yesterday, nice looking piece and plenty beefy for an old inline. Next step is to build an enclosure so I can start sanding in the garage.

After 14 short years, lol... this boat will finally hit the water again! I sent it out for new gelcoat last summer / fall and began rigging this spring. Hope to have it back in the water in the next month or two.
