    How fast: Progression 24LD w/300XS?

Does anyone know how fast this boat would be with a single 300, or at least have a good guess? Is that with crawl-in or walk-in cuddy?

    Question Love to see it!

Progression, Your claim that the 24' model will run in the mid 80's with a single 300.( I would love to see it.) I had a guy on Lake Walenpaupak with 2006 24' Super Boat with a 300xs and he could not get the boat to 80. Randy Corson puts 300's on his 24 checkmates and is getting 72 to 75 in the best of conditions. If you were talking about the 22' you could make an arguement for 85.

    Wink Angry boy!!

Capitol letters seem to indicate that you are very passonite about this or like myself sometimes, forget my reading glasses. To me and I can only speak for myself. Boat speeds should be taken on an average. I just do not want to see anybody be disappointed. This is not an issue over the Quality of the boat from what I can see the Progression takes a back seat to no one.
I do know this 81 is not 80 to 85 I would rather say 75 to 85 and 81 on occcasion is a plus.

to more completely answer whomes question... randy corson has seen better speeds on his 21 liberators with the 300xs over the X motor... you will see comparable speeds between a 24LD 300x and a 24LD 300xs...

    Thumbs up read my post

There were never any comparisons made to the 21' Liberator. I quoted Randy on the 24 foot Checkmate. As far as top end there is no 24 foot V bottom witth a single outboard of any size that will give you anything close to the top end you are getting on the Liberator 21' with a 300xs or 300x period. Guy if you buy the boat best of luck to you but think 75 to 80 anything else is a plus.
To put these 24' V bottoms with a single 300x or a 300xs you better run the boat light or do alot of work on the prop.

I was saying in real world comparisons on randys boats, I think he said he got 105 or 106 with the XS vs 104 with the X but there may have been more in setup with the XS. Either way what I meant is they seem to be comprable in speed to the X according to him, and use half the gas. Also, just because the 24ft checkmate does 72-75 doesnt mean the 24LD doesn't do 80+ when setup properly. Obviously topend setup is going to not be ideal for everyday conditions and ocean running so 75-80 is a good average, but they'll push 80 like many have said, so why do you doubt? Also considering what randy has reported with the XS vs the X on this site, why doubt that the XS doesn't make the power?

My dad's runs 72 with the wrong prop(28P 4 blade). We are going to throw a 26P 4 blade on there to get the RPM's up. Should run close to 80.
