The 2008 Round Britain Offshore Power Boat Race™ is on!
At a drivers meeting held today in Belmore Park, Hampshire, the competitors voted unanimously to underpin the funding of The 2008 Round Britain Offshore Power Boat Race™ by way of entry fees.
This means the race will go ahead, starting at Portsmouth 21st. June 2008.
I have never seen a powerboat meeting in 25 years where nearly everyone agreed!
Would be great to see some more entries from the States - The race is guaranteed now - bring your boats!

As if you look at the map they do not go the whole way, typical Brits shortcutting, anyway I am registered as crew member in one of participants RIB.
Also here in Iceland we are working on celebrating 30th anniversary of first round Iceland race in 2008, and here I mean round the island no shortcuts.
So 2008 busy racing year with totally around 3000 nautical miles
