We had an 18 ft Baja with a very sick 2 thirsty 5.
It was the fastest boat between two fuel stations in the county!
With 5 1/2 cylinders it would go in the mid 60's Jacked up and out to the max.
It sat around with a blown engine until I gave it away.
Now I wish I still had it to rebuild and put a nice Merc on it.Charlie

very sweeet boat herringtonlakebaja !!!! looks just like mine! and that really proves theres some major problems with my 115 bc I cant get past 42 and cant spin anything higher than a 17 hahaha poor thing. I hope to find a coilpack 115 and put my old cover on it so it looks old!
the only other late 70s SSs I have seen have had the railing just like yours. does the merc have power trim?~Scotty~

I had a 1976 16ft Baja SS white/red/wood grain with a 1976 135 silver starflite evinrude for about three years and loved it. I called it "Easy Money" because it was so good on gas. Wish i had it back!
