I'm so bummed.

We now live in Indiana just a couple hours from the Indy Speedway, and this entire community I live in has INDY FEVER. But we have to go to Texas for a wedding on Memorial Day weekend

And it gets worse....

I learned recently that my cousin's son is racing at the Indianapolis Speedway on Friday night before the Indy 500!!!

Argh.

If any of you are going to be there Friday nighth -- please cheer on my cousin. He'll be running USAC midgets and his name is Davey Ray. He's GOOD! His website is http://www.daveyray.com/ and he drives either car #33 or car #2

Man I wish I could be there.

Stan Fox was a very close friend....

Should find out today I hope. If I go we will be in the campsite on turn #4. Are you staying next to Diamonds again? We can find you there for sure !!!!!!!!!!!

If you end up going, look for us on the steet that runs along the 1st and 4th turns. There is a small creek that we sit by( 4th turn side of it). If not there, we will stop at Diamonds , Babes and Brad's. It's are job to support the local performing art .

Hey guys! Be sure and look for this team - they'll be running Friday night at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway: They are all my cousins. His dad was 1977 USAC Rookie of the year. His mom is the daughter of one of Wisconsin's top chassis builders. Now Davey, at 23, is proving that he has the talent too! He even moved to Indiana to be closer to his goal of running the INDY 500 one day! (PS: His 2 sisters - seen below - even raced -- one of them is even currently working at Gasoline Alley!) Gosh I wish I could go this year

Davey Ray currently runs both USAC Midgets and at the Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, WI.

Qualifying 3rd with a time of 14.862, and winning the 2nd Heat race from the last starting position, opening night at Angell Park Speedway could not have started off any better for Davey and the 2 crew. Davey was ready to win another one of his specialty 50 lap A-main's. Starting 4th row outside, Davey began to pass cars running the high side in his "True Ray Fashion", and by lap 21 was in the lead. Running away from the field, Davey was unbeatable and continued to lap the field up to 4th place. Some bad luck took over on the 44th lap, when Davey had to pull in after the engine dropped a cylinder. www.daveyray.com

Not shure if we will make to the race on Fri. night. I would like to but there is 7 or 8 of us going this year. Its hard to get everyone moving sometimes. Is he going to try for the indy lights?

Balzy, The fun starts at 11:00 am on Friday for us. I will meet up with some of the guys at On The Border for lunch and some lap dances. We will be on the road by 1:00pm. The cell # is on its way.

I will be going to Indy. We leave Thursday night (tommorow). We will be in Indy Friday morning. Usually have lunch at Hooters after we do the shopping and set up camp. We will be in the campground on turn 4. It's the one behind the fence. We always get the spot right behind the garage. I have your cell so we can hook up. I am sure we will make the anual trip to Diamonds. A guy has to get in his culture experiance ya know.

We will have a couple scooters along so we have tranportation to find ya. See ya there !!!!!!!!!
