What's Joe's last name? I'm surprised I haven't heard of him since he's in the area. My suggestion would be Nick Winski at Wintech. They have a full machine shop there and control everything in house which is nice. Makes the rebuild turnaround faster since they don't have to send stuff out. He rebuilt my Evinrude 225 and that thing was fast. I beat up on a lot of 260s at the Firewater speedruns with that motor. He's a meticulous builder.

They're in Big Bend, WI (Southwest of Milwaukee) - (262) 662-0892

Gordon at Monty's Racing has also been a premier engine builder for the OMC's.

Hands down Dragon Master Outboard.........Crazy numbers come out of that shop. Joe is great builder and top notch to deal with. He just finished a one of a kind closed deck V8 for a guy on here. He built Twin 225,s for another guy on here to put on his 21ft Eliminator and they are the baddest boys at the lake. Give Joe a call, 708-636-7265
