    455 Jet boat help needed

I just bought a Tahiti Jet boat and it has been sitting in a barn for ten years, it came with the headers, front and rear mounts and a rusty starter and two driveshafts (no pto adapters)
I just bought a good complete running 68 ho 455 from a wrecked car, but i need help finding out what else i need to get it up and running
I know the alternator usually mount low in boats, where can i get the mounts and what alternator?
I have a electric fuel pump in the boat (most likely doesnt work) and dual tanks, should i remove the mechanical fuel pump and make a block off for it?
what other stuff do i need to make the car motor work in a jet boat?

I am going to rebuild the motor after the summer is over, i know i need to mod the motor for its oil issues, the boat is a old 72 21ft Tahiti with a very round nose, im going to baby it until i rebuild it but i want to get out on the lake...

also all the cables are frozen up, i guess i need those too, any advice would really help, sorry for the rambling....

It is customary to remove the water pump and replace it with a "block off" plate. The engine cooling water is supplied from the jet pump.

This is the front of mine.

You can actually see the alternator mounting bolt in the pic. The bolt at 12 o'clock is long. There is a spacer between the alternator and the block. There is a tapped (3/8-16) hole in the block right there.

    Here ya go....

That is a water pressure gauge, the other is fuel pressure.

The difference between stock and "marine" starters and alternators is that all openings on a marine unit are either sealed closed or have a fine brass screen covering so that air can pass but fumes cannot ignite
