I have what I beleive is a wrangler tunnel hull. http://www.wranglerboats.com/th12.htm
It has a 40 HP Suzuki on it and I have not been able to trim it out to the right setup. This is bolted to the transom and the cavitation plate is about the same height as the top of the tummel. I am thinking I need to lower the prop to get the tunnel to "fly" If I trim it in the bow pushes down too much and sprays. The next slot out causes it to cavitate and loose all power. I have tried it with the whale tail and without and it doesn't seem to change. With just my weight (180) in the boat I am able to get it to almost fly. I was able to get it to 35 mph with a cheapo gauge so I am not sure what it actually was doing. I am new to this full size thing, however I used to run rc tunnel hulls that did a nice dance on the back of the sponsons when they were performing best. I am thinking that is my goal here? let me know. Thanks
