250 proXS or 300XS
looking at a 22 velocity and looking at either the 250 pro XS or the 3.2.... which would be the best motor to use. as far as all round fuel effecency, value,(bang for buck), and servicaability for warranty..
obviously the 300 is the big speed winner but harder to accuire at a good price here...
need thoughts.....

the new 3.2 300xs looks awesome. Anyone got some sort of indication how much quicker it will be then my 225 efi 2002 model. On my 21ft boat it runs 75mph with a 23 pitch laser 2. with a 23 trophy plus it runs 80.

If you find a service center that deals with mercury (certified), they can ship to them. I had hell trying to find a Mercury dealer that would allow me to ship a motor to them. The way they look at it is that you are taking business away from them and want no part of it. My brother in law was having problems with a Mercury dealership with his boat and they allowed me to ship the motor as a favor for his inconveniences. Capt. Kirk's Marine in Houston was the one that advised me about their shipping rules. It would benefit the service center to have it shipped to you because you can bring them any warranty work. Good luck.
