It's a nice looking boat, but it's not a Daytona.
    Daytona's are all tunnel hulls.

I'm kind of surprised at what it's bid up to already.

I DIDN'T THINK ABOUT IT BUT YOU'RE RIGHT ALL DAYTONAS ARE TUNNELS! WHAT DID ELIMINIATOR CALL THEIR V HULL JET?? I REMEMBER THE OLD BROCHURE WITH THE V HULLS IN THE BUT THE NAME ESCAPES ME?

THE PRICE DOESN'T SURPRISE ME THESE BOATS ARE DESTIN TO BE COLLECTORS DREAMS ESPECIALLY A SURVIVOR LIKE THIS ONE, HELL I'D PAY 15K-20K FOR IT IF I HAD IT TO SPARE!!---225HCCA

PS JUST CHECK THE PRICE??? IT MUST BE SOLD, I CAN'T FIND IT!!

For 15 -20 k you could find a real Daytona or a similar tunnel hull boat and have a lot better package in the end then you would with a V bottom boat.

It's a DAYTONA, not an "Eliminator Daytona." The hull ID says "DY", not "EL."

The Ebay page doesn't say anything about Eliminator anywhere.

I guess Daytona was another company by the same name as one of Eliminator's model series.

Kind of like a "Viking" deck boat-- It's not a Hydrostream. No relation.

    Good eye Pyro.
That makes it worth less then.
If someone paid more than 8k for it they didn't shop around much.

My first jetboat was a 19' Eliminator Sprint.
That was my only V bottom jet boat.
All the rest have been tunnel hulls.

yea good eye pyro, I have never seen a Daytona boat before. looks like an Eliminator but no cigar!! I have a 1979 Sleekcraft Sportster all original great classic. I have had my eye on some Sleekcraft tunnel hulls but never stepped up. How do you think the tunnel v compares to a cat v??---225hcca

JULY ISSUE OF HOTBOAT JUST CAME IN THE MAIL, ANSWERED OUR QUESTION. PAGE 76 GIVES A BRIEF HISTORY OF DAYTONA AS WELL AS EVERY OTHER SIGNIFICANT MANUFACTURE IN PERFORMANCE BOAT HISTORY.....EVEN HYDROSTREAM.---225HCCA

This Time I Really Found One!! Ebay Item # 170119655433 Unfortunately The Daytona Is A Lot Better Looking Than This Particular Eliminator!! Regardless Eliminator Is Still # 1 In Performance Boats... That Is Why I Own A Sleekcraft!!---225hcca
