Michigan Hot Boats MAY 19 Wamplers Lake THIS WEEKEND

Who's coming out this weekend to the Michigan Hot Boats spring gathering at Wamplers Lake?
Walter J Hayes State Park is 40 minutes SW of Ann Arbor, off M-124 near US-12, in the Irish Hills. It features a 4-lane boat launch with plenty of parking at the ramp, and more at the beach around the corner.
Bring those outboards!
Come spank some big blocks!
Make some new friends!

We should be there. Not sure if I will bring any others. It sounds like it should be a desent day. 70's and sun. Not bad for Michigan.
What time is a good time to get there?

I usually arrive at 10 AM (it's only 5 minutes from me), most everybody arrives before noon.

It might look deserted at first when you enter the park, but keep driving past the public beach parking area to get to the launch ramp lot. Everyone usually meets there in the morning.

It's home-built. I keep forgetting the guy's name. It's scary fast, and he runs it balls-out through some rough water too...

is this area from Novi/Plymouth area? I travel to this area a bunch as my company's home office is located there. Would love to come see some Michigan hotrods sometime.

Scott, being a member of MHB pays for itself overall. There's unlimited free beer and buffet at the winter meeting. Are you hearing this, Scott?

I used to post these dates all the time and invite more people out to the lake, but this had previously caused problems when people from out of town were showing up and pigging out on members' picnic table spreads. Now I simply include the note about the food so I don't get on anybody's nerves.

There were only one or two V-drives there on Saturday. Are you THAT afraid of gatting your ass spanked?

JT..............go to Hardy Dam/Croton (Newago) ANY weekend, it's THE Hot Boat Lake of Michigan ........................5000+ acres MANY Bars you can stay @ my place on Croton. It's not far from Novi............Randy Pierson & Jeff Baker say HEY . Scott
