Looking for insurance on an STV
STV Project almost complete, now I'm looking to insure an STV EURO. Wondering, How hard is it to get insurance on that type of hull?? Who or Whom, if you have a similar type of hull, are you using?? And most important, How resonable are the rates?? Thanks

Insuring my 92 STV Pro Comp through State Farm. That and my 30' Scarab runs me $67/month.

Curt My Allison is thru State Farm. Call Patty Friedrich over on Derby Street. Here's a couple pics of your boat in my shop. Get that pos done. You've had it for what, about 4 years or so.

You better lie like a rug dude or your screwed. Don't tell Patty you know me cuz I'll tell her the truth. This guy has never been in anything faster than a jon boat with a 10 horse.
I'll post some more pics on another thread eventually. Let's get speed freak some insurance.

Kurt,
I am getting a quote on the xr2001. They already have the xb and I doubt they will have a problem with the xr. I also asked if there were any kinds of boat they would not insure. I'll talk to you this wekend. I'm not leaving till Monday.

I talked to my agent today. My xb2002 cost me $222 per year and it is insured for $18000. Today I was quoted $255 for my xr2001 and it is insured for $18000. I was told an STV Euro with a 260 was no problem insuring. According to State Farm they will look at insuring almost any boat but anything over 420 horsepower is questionable.
Kurt, if you talk to them, all they need to know is what make and model of boat, trailer, and motor is. I don't think I would mention JSRE and you should be fine. Good luck.
