    Anyone ride a Superhawk???

So, now Im looking at getting a Honda Superhawk but at this point i'm still concidering other rides too. I love the sound and torque of the Vtwins! I want good ergonomics too, and the superhawk seems to fit me good. The only downfall I can find is it's styling is a bit bland... thats why I also like the Suzuki sv1000, and Honda RC 51 but Im still leaning towards the Superhawk right now. Ive checked out a few other bikes like the Aprilia RSV 1000, suzuki tl1000 and some ducs but I still think the Hawk would be the best daily driver. Anyone have any opinions on the superhawk or know of any other bikes I should concider?? Thanks

I like Superhawk's, but tend to get along with sportier stuff better. Its a great sport touring bike. Comfortable and can be ridden for hours on end, but it handles pretty good too. I love TL's though. They suck down fuel, but all the twins do. I never got along with RC's though. There are some nice Aprillia's too. The Mille and the Tourno are awsome rides. Can be harder to find them for cheap though. Ducati's handle great, but watch the cam belts. Only thing I have against the hawk is the carbs. Gotta keep them sync'd or that twin wont like it.

Aprilia to me, makes some of the best looking bikes around and you dont see too many of them too which is a good thing. I would love to get my hands on a Tuono or mille but like you said $$$ can be a factor....You gotta love the itialian enginering. great bikes

    i wasnt impressed

i was going to buy a superhawk too a couple years ago based on the v-twin and i like the way it looks, plus its a honda. but after i rode one i was not impressed with the power of it and then it only gets 25mpg at best. i ended up just buying another cbr. i guess it depends on what type of riding your going to do also. maybe you should check out a 919 or a tl1000 like you had mentioned. im looking to buy a 919 pretty soon because i love the naked style and its comfortable for long rides, sporty enough to still burn some of my friends in the twistys, its got sick vtwin like power and is still pretty decent on gas, oh yeah and its a honda. i cant go wrong. good luck with whatever choice you make

I loved my superhawk but my all time favorite is the vfr interceptor best all around bike you can get but the sport side likes the rc51 for sound and looks, you cant go wrong with any of them, Matt

    Thanks for the replys guys.

Ive pretty much decided on the Suzuki Sv1000. I rode a sv650 a couple years ago and loved it. I mainly ride localy, MA, NH, ME...small towns, country roads etc and I live 10 min from Boston so some City riding. I'm hoping to find one like this...

Although it's not a V-twin and not as much power as the Jap bikes, the Triumph Bonneville is kinda cool. Speaking of V twins, I rode a neighbors new HD Sportster today. That's a poor excuse for a motorcycle.

What your looking at is old technology.

The new 2007 Z1000 Kawasaki is the hotest bike in that class.

2 comments. One, I hate chrome. Sportbikes are supposed to subtle, but insanely fast. Cops jack with you enough on one, why attract mroe attention.

2, Maxxis tires? Like to fall down much. Get more traction with no tires on the rim.

My 05 GSXR1000 doesnt look like its making 189 to the rear wheel. Its blue, black and a little bit of white, fairly mellow looking, but I was hitting the rev limiter in 6th on the track yesterday with 17/36 gearing. She will move, but former AMA bikes will do that.

What you're looking at Al is mundane!
I've ridden this bike and its little brother, the 750.
It really does nothing either really good or bad.
I just found it vanilla flavoured.
