Started painting another 21 Liberator
This 21 Liberator is going to "Liberatorboy" on Lake W. in Penn. Here's the start of the paintjob. The first pic was a quick rendering of what we were planning.

Every checker has to taped separatly to make the points touch. Most guys just run a criss-cross pattern and tape every other square. This takes 2-3 times longer, but shows the detail better. First the out line to the entire design is taped and painted blue. Next, the checker pattern is taped. Each checker is 1/2" longer than the one before it. After it's taped, a couple coats of black are applied. This will show as black and blue checkers. Next, I paint a silver marble over the black basecoat. I'll untape it Monday and clearcoat all the colors.
