ET's all they are CRACKED up to be

Just thought I would ask you guys about genuine ET's versus cut chopper ET's and Ron Hill ET cuts .I'm having problems with ET blades cracking sometimes brand new out of the box, along with a lot of other guys I know. How does the cut props compare in hole shot, mid and top end range speed and of coarse DURABILITY.
Any feed back would be great
    Cheers

Hey rhodia669, welcome to S&F! Are you saying that you are having problems with the real et's cracking or the copies? I have two et's and they are the best props for my boat I have ever run. I liked my 30 et so much, I had throttle-up propellers make an exact copy of it from a old chopper I had. I cracked the copy the first time out, but the prop had been through hell and had been worked prior to me getting it. Could be the chopper was due to crack and working it into an ET was the final nail, who knows.

Never had a problem with the real 30 or 32 ET. BTW, what are you running them on?

I understand Mercury is using the new alloy on all its ETs now.The labbed ETs have thinner blades, but don't know about any cracking!
    why ask me ?

Plenty of genuine ET's have cracked - some basically brand new - I know of a number of examples...

The weird thing is there seem to be good ones that last for a really long time too.

Hopefully the "new alloy" improves the durability

    NO! In my results NO!

I believe the ET copy's from Performance Propeller are better and faster props.

My boat and engine combination do not like them. So I am not a good comparison.
