    rc cars help

    My son got a rc car off the web,he ran the crap outta it till the gears stripped clean off just like his dad with all his merc stuff. now i need gears for a made in CHINA or JAPAN car a rapidvh-a6 1\10 scale any body know of a dealer for parts?? the guy we got it from ,DON'T KNOW NUTTIN,typical jap crap dealer!!! tripps

    Now that is cool stuff that you have done.
    I always thought of doing it to one of those but never did..
    Does the hood still fit on after the nitro swap.And how does the the stock drive take the power and how hard are the parts to get.?

    ive seen that skidoo model in one of the discount rag mags i get. Was it hard to fit the nitro motor in it? i want one! maybe it will be my next project.
    hey are those old rc-10 shocks on it?

    I used a Traxxas Nitro 4-Tec as a donor car for this conversion. They're pretty cheap if you pick one up at a hobby shop used, or find one on E-bay.

    The most difficult part was adapting the front differential gear into a spur gear that would fit on the sled's hex shaped drive shaft.

    The shocks are from my Kyosho Optima Mid that I raced twice a week at the local indoor track back in the 80's. Very good guess!
