Switzer Wing pic's
Heres some pic's of my father switzer wing. I took these as a kid back in the spring of 1972. The boat came from Boots Spillmen from Oshkosh WI and was said to be the mate to the famed wet and wild. I tried to post these before but did not come out, I hope for better posting this time around, anyway enjoy the pic's and happy new year. And no the boat is no longer in existance, was destored in the summer of 1974

bigger pic's
I finaly figued this new scamer and softwhare out. Staring this weekend I will have a week shut down at work and plan on reposting all the pic's so they come in bigger. Now for the stupid question, How can I edit pics so I dont wast space on Gregs server? Should I just deleat the hole thread and start over? It would seem foolish to post all pics twice on the same thread.

you can use www.photobucket.com to host the files, and then link the images to s&f. doing so youll save greg server space, and you can display larger images.
if you search for a thread here under "photobucket" you should find detailed instructions on doing this
btw nice pictures cant wait to see moreJohn E.

Boots Spellman and Jim Merten were friends (mates), maybe that is where the thought of it being a mate to Wet & Wild came from. I believe the only time Boots raced was when he co-drove with Mert at Parker in 1969. He and another friend of his, Fred Hug, each bought Wings with 1250 stackers on them from Mercury and used them for pleasure boating around the Oshkosh area . Fred bought the one pictured below, formerly raced by Kitson. I recall watching the attention of the patrons at the Fin & Feather restaurant in Winneconnie, Wi. shift to the water when this strange noise coming from the outside got louder and louder. Finally, they would see these two missle looking boats come under the bridge and come off plane to park at the dock. Imagine, using stacked Wings to go bar hopping.....it just doesn't get any better than that .
Wogi, look forward to seeing the enlarged versions.....You said it was destroyed in 1974, what happened?Last edited by willabee; 01-30-2007 at 03:49 PM.
