    Super Speedmaster Help...

So I have 4 twin pinion SSM units (all 14/15 I think), some complete, some parts. I am wanting to go through them and evaluate the condition of the shafts and gears. I am pretty sure the bearings and seals are still available from timken and such.
I have the first 2 units down to just the shafts in the housings. I have removed the nuts from the pinions, now how do I get the stuborn pinions off the shafts? I think they should slide off easily, but these are being very stubborn...any ideas? Do I need heat? There isn't anyway to pull on the second shaft
    Thanks.

Oh, I know Steckbauer is someone I can send it to, but I am not looking for that, just some help. Thanks.
