    300 Promax Questions

What's a fair price to pay for a running 2002 300 Promax power head 235 hrs?

Are these sleaved motors or nic?

Thanks again guys!! Learning, Learning, Learning.

    Question

Salt water or fresh? What kind of boat was it on? Did the driver abuse it? Chuck

Thanks Chuck... I'm told fresh water and not sure about the rest? Compression is within 2 - 3 #.

Is the Fresh water vs Salt a concern or major difference in engine? Still trying to learn!!

    Thanks again

Thanks Jerry.... I notice members reference "offshore" in their descriptions of motors, lower units and midsectios. Are these parts different in anyother way besides corrosion protection?

Will the 300 Promax power head bolt up to a conventional 3.0 mid and lower?

    Thanks

offshore refers to the heavy duty parts . the 300 will bolt up but uses a different exuast plate and tuner.
